PTD Billing

The PTD Billing report shows period to date (PTD) billed WIP. You can monitor billed WIP by category, subcategory, and service code, and adjust the level of detail to include.

Note: The PTD Billing report does not include progress billing.

Permissions Required for this Report

In the staff profile, staff must be assigned to a security group that is granted View functional rights for the following:

  • Security group profile > Functional rights > Reports > Shared Library > Shared Views
  • Security group profile > Functional rights > Reports > Firm Library > Custom
  • Security group profile > Functional rights > Reports > Firm Library > Standard > Firm

Reports in Foundation that are Comparable

In Practice Management, the comparable report is PTD Billing. In Practice Advantage, the comparable report is Billing Review.

Report Fields

The following fields are available for this report. The fields that display and the position of fields are based on the report's settings, grouping, sorting, and filters.

Field Description

Category

The category ID the service code is assigned to.

Subcategory

The subcategory ID the service code is assigned to.

Service Code

The transaction service code in Service Code Name (Service Code ID) format.

Invoice Date

The transaction invoice date.

Invoice Number

The number that is assigned to the invoice.

Invoice Amount

The amount of the invoice. The calculation is billed WIP +/- write up/down.

Write Up/Down

The total write up/down for the invoice.

Real %

The transaction realization percentage. The calculation is billed amount + write up/down divided by billed amounts, excluding expenses (unless you selected to include expenses).

Effective Rate

The effective rate for that transaction. The calculation is billed amount + write up/down divided by billed hours, excluding expenses (unless you selected to include expenses).

Expenses

The total expenses billed on the invoice without write up/down.

Hours

The total number of hours included on the invoice.

PTD Billing Sample Report
